‘I had to fight back’: Dad-son clash over son’s sportswears
Jammu and Kashmir: A dad-son rivalry over sports apparel is intensifying as parents clash over the son’s choices of footwear.
The son, who is a sports fanatic, had been shopping for sportswares and sportswearing accessories online before the dispute erupted last month.
The confrontation came after a father complained to the police about his son’s footwear.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, the father said his son was wearing a pair of shoes with the words ‘Sportswear with no name’ on them and asked the police to look into it.
The boy said he was wearing the shoes because his parents told him to do so.
However, the police told him not to go to the shops without the shoes and he could not have them returned.
The police said the son would have to pay a fine and give them his name.
On Tuesday, the boy posted on Facebook that his father had sent him a letter saying that he had a complaint against him.
He said the father had asked him to buy the shoes from a local shop and he was not allowed to buy them.
The father, however, had refused to give his name to the Post.
