User gestures control this carousel, making it more interactive and engaging than simply swiping through a slideshow. Individual animations are all timed to swiping velocity, giving a more responsive feel to a normally flat feature.
I also tried allowing the user to pause and explore different elements, such as learning about individual Boost discounts by holding down the icon.
Beyond the Cash Card, I defined ways which the surfaces of the app move to ensure fluidity and responsiveness on every touchpoint.
More advanced gestures, like pulling down on the home screen to search, make the product experience more dynamic and enjoyable.
Above are explorations for customization. I wanted these to feel fun, springy, and addictive to play with. You can change the color and information shown with your QR code, and change the theme of the entire app - unlocking new themes by ordering unique Cash Cards.
Cash App's main functionality is sending and receiving money. I animated these micro-interactions to have a satisfying bounce and pop, using motion and inertia to emphasize state change.
